  • How long can I expect the drive-through to take?

    Time spent in the drive-through completely depends on the flow of traffic. The drive is 1/2 mile long with over 1,200,000 lights. We recommend vehicles go through the drive-through and then park in the observation lot afterwards to enjoy the full 45 minute rock lights program, however vehicles can also go through the drive-through as many times as they'd like.

    Do I need to make a reservation?

    Tickets should be purchased online and guests can select either 6-8PM or 8PM-10PM. You can arrive any time within your time frame. We highly recommend securing your ticket as soon as possible.

    Something has come up and I need to transfer my tickets to another day - how do I do this?

    Guests can transfer tickets themselves through the Eventbrite page. On how to transfer tickets, please visit Eventbrite here. If you're unable to transfer your tickets this way for some reason, please request a refund via Eventbrite and the refund will be processed as an event credit. You'll then be able to use that event credit to choose a new day. Event credits expire after 1 year.

    What are the age limits for tickets?

    Anyone ages 2+ needs a ticket. Children 1 and under are free and do not require a ticket. There are no senior or military discounts at this time.

    Are you open on holidays?

    HOLIDAY LIGHTS: Yes, we will be open 7 days a week from November 25, 2021 until January 2, 2022. Hours for Sunday through Thursday is 5-9PM, Friday and Saturday is 5-10PM. The week of Sunday, December 20th through Thursday, December 24th, we will be open 5-10PM.


    Can I buy tickets on site?

    Tickets are not available on site as we anticipate most evenings to sell out. Please purchase ahead of time online.


    How much do tickets cost?

    Tickets are $30 (+ sales tax) per vehicle for 1-7 passengers. Large vehicles of 8 or more people is $50 (+ sales tax). 10% of Sever's Rock Lights proceeds will be going to the Twin Cities Music Community Trust to support our local stages during this difficult time.


    Do you offer discounts?

    We do offer large group or corporate discounts. Please inquire for details by emailing us at seversholidaylights@gmail.com.


    Will there be food and beverages available for purchase?

    Yes, Drew's Concessions will be on site for Sever's Rock Lights. Please visit our Food & Beverages page for menu and prices. Also be sure to follow us on our Social Media pages for updates on specialty food vendors that join us.

    When is your least busy time?

    HOLIDAY LIGHTS: If guests are looking for overall shorter wait times in the queue, we recommend attending on Mondays through Thursdays. Typically, holidays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are our busiest days. We generally are least busy right at opening and the hour prior to closing.

    Can I get out of my car?

    You may exit your vehicle to use the restrooms. Once in the drive-through, we ask that you stay in your car.

    How early do I need to arrive?

    We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to the end of your time slot if possible in order to fully enjoy the program.

    Where are you located?

    We are located at 3121 150th Street West in Shakopee. This is right off of Hwy 169 2 miles south of Hwy 169 & County Road 41. Please visit our Contact Us page for exact directions.

    Do you take credit cards? Do you take cash?

    Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, & Discover and cash at our concessions and novelty vendors. Tickets do need to be purchased online this season.

    What vehicles can fit through the drive-through?

    Any vehicle or bus smaller than 30 feet long and less than 10.5 feet tall will fit through our drive-through. Please note, small party buses and shuttle buses less than 30 feet long on average. Limos could have difficulty going through it and we don't recommend them unless the driver/company is experienced with our event.

    Do you close for inclement weather?

    We will make any closure announcements via our website and our social media pages immediately upon making that decision. Those ticket holders will be able to reschedule their date/time. We defer to the National Weather Service on their recommendation on if cars should be on the roads.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Yes, because we are exclusively a drive-thru, if you'd like to bring your dog in your vehicle, feel free!
